Apply for the NIGP-CPP Module B Exam

1. Read the Handbook

• Please read the NIGP-CPP certification handbook.

2. Determine Eligibility (Pathway F)

• Pathway F is open to all current CPPO/CPPB certificants, or for anyone whose CPPO/CPPB certification expiration date is within one year of your NIGP-CPP application.

3. Apply for the NIGP-CPP

• Apply and register at https://certification.nigp.org
• Log in with your NIGP account. If you do not remember your credentials, click Forgot Your Password?. If you don’t have an NIGP account, click Create An Account.

• To begin the application process, click the Begin button.

• Complete the online application form.
• On the application, select Pathway F
• Upload a copy of your CPPO/CPPB certificate or a screenshot of your UPPCC database record as a part of your application
• Choose if requesting Special Accommodations. If yes, upload the signed and completed Request for Special Accommodations Form.
• Sign and attest to Code of Ethics and Candidate Declarations.
• Follow link to remit the $150 non-refundable application fee.
• As soon as the payment is made, your application will be auto-submitted.

4. Register for NIGP-CPP Testing and Schedule your Testing Appointment

• When your application has been approved, register for your preferred NIGP-CPP testing window.
• Four testing windows each year – registration and payment opens three months before testing window begins.
• Register for Exam Module B.
• Within 5 – 7 business days after your registration and payment are processed, you will receive your authorization-to-test email with instructions on how to schedule your testing appointment at a Pearson VUE test center.
• After May 2024 testing, all candidates – regardless of eligibility pathway – must successfully complete both Module A and Module B to earn the NIGP-CPP certification.
• You will have three (3) total opportunities to successfully the exam requirements during your two-year application period. Please note that only Module B must be successfully completed through May 2024 testing during your two-year application period. After May 2024 testing, BOTH Module A AND Module B must be successfully completed during your two-year application period. Each Module may be taken only three times during the two-year application period.”
